Rapper Offset is embroiled in a legal battle with a Detroit casino over a six-figure gambling debt, according to newly filed court documents.
The MotorCity Casino Hotel has sued the former Migos member, alleging he opened a $100,000 credit line in March 2024 to continue gambling during a visit. The casino claims it attempted to withdraw the funds directly from Offset's account as per their agreement, but insufficient funds prevented collection.
A representative for Offset stated, "We are working toward a resolution."
The lawsuit accuses the rapper of breach of contract and fraud. This financial dispute emerges amid a challenging period for Offset, who was recently shot in the leg during an altercation outside a Florida casino. That incident resulted in fellow rapper Lil Tjay's arrest for disorderly conduct.
This casino lawsuit adds to Offset's financial troubles, which include a previous $1.5 million federal tax lien settlement with the IRS. The rapper's representatives confirm they are actively negotiating to resolve the Detroit casino debt.
