Rapper Offset Hospitalized After Shooting Outside Florida Hard Rock Casino

Former Migos rapper Offset was shot Monday evening near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, according to his representatives.

A spokesperson for the artist confirmed to media outlets that Offset sustained injuries in the incident but is expected to recover. "He is fine and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care," the representative stated. "He is stable and being closely monitored."

Law enforcement officials from the Seminole Police Department reported that the shooting occurred around 7 p.m. in a valet area outside the popular casino resort. Authorities described the injuries as non-life-threatening.

"We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood," a police representative said.

The police statement continued: "Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal."

This incident marks another tragedy for the Migos hip-hop group, whose member Takeoff was fatally shot in November 2022. Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, rose to fame as part of the Atlanta-based trio known for hits like "Bad and Boujee" and "Walk It Talk It."

The shooting occurred at one of Florida's most prominent entertainment destinations, which includes a hotel, casino, concert venue, and multiple restaurants. Despite the incident, casino operations continued without interruption according to authorities.
