Real Estate Mogul's Family Feud Intensifies as Father's Girlfriend Denies Financial Abuse Allegations

A bitter family dispute involving 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Mauricio Umansky has escalated in court, with new legal filings revealing a dramatic clash over finances and alleged elder abuse.

According to recently filed court documents, Simin Tabibnia—the longtime girlfriend of Mauricio's father, Eduardo Umansky—has formally responded to a lawsuit brought by Mauricio's sister, Sharon. The initial suit accused Tabibnia of financial elder abuse, claiming she spent approximately $401,000 of Eduardo's money on personal luxuries, including gifts for herself and a facelift, while he was allegedly experiencing cognitive decline.

In her legal response, Tabibnia categorically denies all allegations of wrongdoing. Her filing states: "The alleged transfers occurred during an 18-year intimate romantic relationship between Simin and [Eduardo]. The payments were voluntarily made by [Eduardo]."

She further contends that the transactions were transparent gifts, not secret or misappropriated funds, writing: "They were not secret, concealed, or misappropriated. The checks were written by [Eduardo] and delivered to [Simin], who accepted them as a gift."

Tabibnia also rejects claims that she exerted undue influence over Eduardo, asserting she never "exercised excessive persuasion or overcame Eduardo's free will."

This legal battle follows previous courtroom drama between the parties. Last year, Eduardo obtained a restraining order against Tabibnia, while her attempt to secure a protective order against him was denied by the court.

The case continues to unfold as both sides prepare for further legal proceedings, highlighting the complex intersection of family relationships, financial management, and elder care concerns in high-profile circles.
