Lisa Hochstein, known for her role on 'The Real Housewives of Miami,' has been formally charged with a felony in Florida, accused of illegally monitoring her former spouse, prominent plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein.
According to legal documents, prosecutors allege that Hochstein "unlawfully and intentionally" intercepted or attempted to intercept oral communications involving Lenny Hochstein and individuals he spoke with. The charge is listed as interception of wire, oral, or electronic communications.
"This matter is part of a contentious divorce proceeding and does not belong in criminal court," stated Jayne Weintraub, Hochstein's attorney, in a joint statement with lawyers representing her ex-boyfriend, Jody Glidden.
The allegations appear connected to a March 2023 incident. In May 2023, reports surfaced that Lenny Hochstein had accused Lisa of planting a listening device beneath his vehicle to monitor his phone conversations.
Glidden faces identical charges and was taken into custody in Florida over the weekend. Authorities have reportedly issued an arrest warrant for Lisa Hochstein as well.
The couple's divorce, filed by Lenny in May 2022 after twelve years of marriage and two children, has been notably acrimonious. The new criminal case adds another layer to their ongoing legal disputes.
