Reality Star Taylor Frankie Paul Seeks Court Protection, Alleges Ex's 'Crazy Jealousy' and Assault

Reality television personality Taylor Frankie Paul has taken legal action against her former partner, Dakota Mortensen, filing for a temporary restraining order ahead of a scheduled court hearing regarding their ongoing domestic disputes.

According to legal documents obtained exclusively, Paul's filing details a pattern of concerning behavior from Mortensen. She alleges he displayed signs of "crazy jealousy," becoming "increasingly possessive" in the lead-up to her debut on the television show "The Bachelorette." The filing claims this possessiveness escalated to stalking and assault.

One particularly striking allegation involves Mortensen getting Paul's initials tattooed on the inside of his lip, an act she reportedly discovered before a physical altercation in February.

"Taylor accuses Dakota of slamming her head against the dashboard of his car while in her driveway," the documents state. "Even wilder ... Taylor says he asked her for sex right after."

The filing contends that after Paul denied these advances, Mortensen was the one who called the police on her. This contradicts previous allegations from Mortensen, who has accused Paul of assaulting him during that same February incident.

This new restraining order request comes just before a court hearing where Mortensen is expected to ask a judge to convert a temporary protective order he currently holds against Paul into a long-term one. That order was granted following Mortensen's accusations of domestic violence.

Authorities are investigating a series of alleged attacks, with Mortensen claiming Paul assaulted him on three separate occasions: in 2023, 2024, and February of this year. The 2023 incident was captured on video and resulted in Paul pleading guilty to a charge of aggravated assault.

The legal maneuvering highlights the intensifying and public nature of the conflict between the former couple, with both parties now seeking court-ordered protection from the other.
