Falen Vaughn, mother of TLC's "Unexpected" star Bella Vaughn, has announced she will contest the misdemeanor charges stemming from her recent arrest in Arkansas.
Her attorney, Kevin Hickey, stated exclusively that Vaughn denies any wrongdoing and intends to plead not guilty at her upcoming court appearance. "She looks forward to proving her innocence," Hickey emphasized.
According to police reports, Vaughn was arrested Monday on charges of disorderly conduct and disrupting governmental operations. Officers allege she became aggressive and failed to follow commands during their response to a dispute.
Hickey countered that Vaughn was present at the scene solely to assist her daughter and grandson. The attorney characterized the charges as unfounded, stating his client was performing a protective family role.
Vaughn, who frequently appears alongside her daughter on the reality series about teen pregnancy, has maintained a low profile since the arrest until now breaking her silence through legal representation.
The case is expected to proceed through the Arkansas court system as Vaughn prepares her defense against the two misdemeanor counts.
