A new platform called Record Club is positioning itself as a social hub for music enthusiasts, drawing comparisons to Letterboxd, the popular movie-tracking service. The app allows users to log albums they've listened to, write reviews, and follow friends to see what they're spinning. Founder Alex Kurz says the goal is to create a dedicated space for music discussion beyond the algorithmic feeds of streaming giants. Record Club currently offers a web-based interface with plans for a mobile app, and it has already attracted a niche community of vinyl collectors and playlist curators. The service is free to use, with optional paid features for advanced analytics.
