Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is demanding that ABC fire Jimmy Kimmel after the late-night host made a controversial joke about Melania Trump ahead of the White House Correspondents' Dinner, referring to her as an "expectant widow."
Speaking with TMZ on Capitol Hill, Mace argued that Kimmel's remark creates a volatile and dangerous political climate. She suggested that such rhetoric fuels assassination attempts against former President Donald Trump, though she insisted "he's bulletproof."
Melania Trump separately called for Kimmel's firing, labeling him a "coward" and accusing him of spreading "hateful and violent rhetoric."
Kimmel has not publicly responded to the backlash.
