Reality TV personality Reza Farahan has opened up about a previously undisclosed romantic entanglement with fitness celebrity Bob Harper, detailing a fling that evolved into a friends-with-benefits arrangement and eventually included Harper's late husband in a threesome.
In his new memoir, 'Memoirs of a Gay Shah,' Farahan recounts meeting Harper through the fitness industry, where their professional connection quickly blossomed into an intense personal bond. "We became inseparable," Farahan writes, describing how their friendship soon crossed into physical intimacy.
Despite developing deeper feelings, Farahan sensed Harper wasn't interested in a serious relationship. "I wanted something more meaningful, but it became clear Bob preferred keeping things casual," he explains in the book. "So I didn't push for commitment."
The situation grew more complex when Harper married his partner, Scott. Rather than distancing himself, Farahan maintained close friendships with both men, which he claims eventually led to a three-way sexual encounter.
Farahan describes the experience as "bittersweet," emphasizing he harbored no resentment toward Scott, who has since passed away. Remarkably, Farahan and Harper have maintained their friendship through the years, with Farahan recently assisting Harper with selling his home.
Harper has previously acknowledged their past connection, describing it on 'Watch What Happens Live' as "a tawdry little" situation.
For Farahan, now married to Adam Neely, the experience served as a pivotal moment of self-realization. "It made me understand I never wanted to be someone's second choice again," he writes. "That chapter pushed me to seek the loyal, committed partnership I have today."
