Risk of Rain 2, Tropico 6 Among 12 Titles Leaving PlayStation Plus in July

Sony's PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have until July 21 to play a dozen games leaving the service, including several standout titles.

Risk of Rain 2, a cooperative roguelike that became a breakout hit in 2020, tops the departure list. Players navigate a surreal alien world, battling deadly creatures while balancing risk and reward—staying longer in a biome yields better loot but tougher enemies. The game boasts "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on Steam and an 85 Metacritic score.

Tropico 6, the latest management sim from Limbic Entertainment, also departs. Players assume the role of El Presidente, guiding a Caribbean banana republic through four eras after gaining independence from British rule. The game received solid reviews, and a sequel, Tropico 7, is expected later in 2026.

Another unique title leaving is Cursed to Golf, a roguelike where players attempt to escape golf purgatory by navigating a labyrinth of fairways and sand traps. It offers a fresh twist on the run-based genre.
