In a remarkable display of technology aiding humanity amid conflict, a ground robot rescued an elderly woman from a devastated village in Ukraine's frontline region.
Footage released by Ukraine's 3rd Army Corps captured the moment Antonina Horuzha, struggling to escape her wrecked village, was approached by a robot displaying the message: "Grandma, sit down." Ukrainian forces had spotted her using a drone and deployed the machine to bring her to safety.
"I thought I wouldn't make it and didn't have the strength," Horuzha told BBC correspondent Jessica Parker.
Ground drones have increasingly been used in Ukraine for rescuing or supplying soldiers on the front lines, but this incident highlights their potential for civilian assistance as well.
