Don't mistake Ronda Rousey's respect for her opponent as a sign of weakness. The former UFC champion has made it clear that, despite her admiration for Gina Carano, she plans to dominate their upcoming fight.
"Once they close the door, I'm going to do everything in my power to kill that chick with my bare hands, and it's up to that referee to stop me," Rousey said in an exclusive interview.
The May 16 bout, promoted by MVP, has seen Rousey and Carano exchange compliments for months. But Ronda insists her competitive fire hasn't dimmed.
"If anything, I want to show her the monster that she created," Rousey explained. "I want her to be proud of it. I want her to see, wow, I had no idea that what I started was going to create something like this. And I want to show her what I am capable of. Whoop her ass and make her proud of me!"
Rousey, who believes she is more dangerous than ever, also shared her thoughts on the fight card, which includes Nate Diaz, and her readiness for the clash with Carano.
