Ruffalo Calls Ellisons 'Vindictive' After Merger Opposition

Mark Ruffalo believes he may have burned bridges with David and Larry Ellison after publicly opposing their takeover of Paramount. In a recent episode of the "I've Had It" podcast, Ruffalo joked that he's "already on a list" following an open letter he co-signed that garnered thousands of signatures against the merger.

Ruffalo recounted a conversation in which someone described the Ellisons as "vindictive motherf***ers," adding that the pair inspire fear in Hollywood. He noted that two groups signed the letter: established stars who can afford to speak out, and production workers who depend on the industry for their livelihoods.

Paramount, led by CEO David Ellison, has proposed a $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros., outbidding Netflix's $82.7 billion offer. The deal has drawn widespread criticism from industry figures citing antitrust concerns. Ruffalo suggested that if the merger goes through, he likely won't be working with Paramount anytime soon.
