Savannah Guthrie Shares Heartbreaking Plea Amid Mother's Ongoing Kidnapping Ordeal

Savannah Guthrie has issued another emotional appeal as the search for her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, enters its fifth month without resolution.

The "Today" show co-host took to Instagram Stories to share a painting of Jesus Christ's ascension, writing: "Oh my, my soul, it cries out, soul, it cries out, bring her home." The message is a clear reference to her 84-year-old mother, who is in poor health and was abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on February 1.

Police and FBI agents continue to investigate, but no arrests have been made. The Pima County Sheriff's Office and the FBI are testing DNA evidence in hopes of identifying the perpetrator. Ransom notes were sent to several media outlets, including TMZ, but those leads have since gone cold.

Sheriff Chris Nanos provided an update on May 12, confirming that investigators are working diligently on the case. Savannah returned to her co-hosting duties on April 6 after taking time off following the abduction, and she has been vocal about her desire for her mother's safe return.
