Scotland Ring Changes for Italy Clash as McGhie Earns First Start Under Fukofuka

Scotland head coach Sione Fukofuka has made five alterations to the starting lineup for Saturday's Women's Six Nations encounter with Italy in Parma, with Francesca McGhie finally making her first start after recovering from injury.

Prop Demi Swan will also earn her first start, while Eva Donaldson and Rachel McLachlan join an overhauled back row. Outside centre Lucia Scott makes her international debut in the starting XV, and McGhie returns on the wing.

The Scots were heavily beaten by England last time out, and the changes reflect a desire to bounce back. Rhona Lloyd and Emily Coubrough miss out due to concussion protocols, while Evie Wills is sidelined with an arm problem.

"We've made some tough calls, but we believe this group can get the result we need," Fukofuka said.

Italy vs Scotland kicks off at 16:30 BST at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi, with live coverage on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.
