Shannon Elizabeth, best known for her iconic role as foreign exchange student Nadia in the 1999 comedy American Pie, has announced she's launching an OnlyFans page at age 52, calling the platform "the future" for creative control and direct fan connection.
In an exclusive interview with People published April 16, the actress explained her decision to join the subscription-based platform, marking a significant shift in her decades-long Hollywood career.
"I've spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career," Elizabeth revealed. "This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans."
Elizabeth, who rose to fame with her memorable nude scene in American Pie, emphasized that OnlyFans represents an opportunity for artistic autonomy she hasn't experienced before.
"I'm choosing OnlyFans because it allows me to connect directly with my audience, create on my own terms, and just be free," the 52-year-old continued. "I really do think this is the future."
Despite becoming a sex symbol following her breakout role alongside Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, and Seann William Scott, Elizabeth recently clarified that her on-screen persona differs greatly from her private self.
"For me, it was a role, it was playing a character," she told Entertainment Tonight in March. "But even in my real life, I'm just not the girl that likes to be naked, ever. Even at home I'm always covered up."
The actress acknowledged that while some have questioned whether American Pie holds up today, she credits the film with transforming her life and career.
"Everything that I've done in my life," she told ET, "is because of American Pie."
Elizabeth's move to OnlyFans follows other celebrities who have embraced the platform, including Harry Potter alum Jessie Cave, who joined in March 2025 to share niche non-sexual content, and Denise Richards, who launched her account in 2022 after her daughter Sami Sheen debuted on the platform.
With this announcement, Elizabeth joins a growing number of public figures using OnlyFans to reclaim their narratives and connect directly with audiences outside traditional Hollywood structures.
