Singer D4vd has been taken into police custody and charged with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, according to authorities in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Division made the arrest on Tuesday, with D4vd now being held without bail. This development comes more than seven months after Rivas's decomposing body was discovered in a Tesla registered to the musician.
"The arrest follows an extensive investigation that began when the victim's body was found in September 2025," an LAPD spokesperson stated.
At the time of the grim discovery, D4vd was midway through a concert tour. He abruptly canceled all remaining shows and largely disappeared from public view afterward.
New evidence has emerged in the case, including a recently surfaced video from January 2024 showing D4vd and Rivas together during a live stream. In the footage, the teenager can be heard prompting the singer to respond to a fan's comment.
Legal sources indicate that a grand jury is expected to indict D4vd on murder charges in the coming days, moving the case closer to trial. The investigation continues as authorities piece together the events leading to Rivas's death and the subsequent discovery of her body.
