Sisterly Showdown: Kyle Richards Files Lawsuit to Evict Kim from L.A. Condo

In a dramatic family rift, 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Kyle Richards took legal action against her sister Kim Richards last year, seeking to evict her from a Los Angeles-area condominium.

Court documents reveal that Kyle initiated the lawsuit in January 2025, demanding that Kim vacate the 2-bedroom, 3-bathroom Encino condo. The reality TV star alleged that Kim had been residing in the property for years but was instructed to leave in late 2024.

Kyle sought possession of the property and requested damages of $140 per day from November 2024 onward for each day Kim remained in the condo.

Kim reportedly never responded to the legal filing, resulting in a default judgment issued in March 2025 that required her to surrender the property. By June 2025, when the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office attempted to serve the judgment, Kim had already moved out, allowing Kyle to reclaim possession.

The legal action came amid ongoing tensions between the sisters, whose relationship has been strained for years. The eviction lawsuit followed reports that Kim had experienced a relapse after previous struggles with addiction, prompting family members to adopt a 'tough love' approach.

During the season 14 'RHOBH' reunion in mid-2025, Kyle and their oldest sister Kathy Hilton provided an update on Kim's situation, noting that she was living in Florida and reportedly 'doing better' at the time.
