SpaceX is currently outpacing its own ambitious launch schedule, setting the stage for a record-breaking year of Starlink satellite deployments in 2026.

During the first six months of the year, the aerospace company successfully delivered 1,589 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. According to data gathered by Jonathan McDowell’s satellite tracker, this puts SpaceX exactly 100 satellites ahead of where it was at the exact same point in 2025, when it had launched 1,489 units.

The previous year was already a monumental milestone for the company, wrapping up 2025 with a grand total of 3,180 Starlink satellites deployed. However, with rapid-fire recent missions—including a fresh batch of 29 satellites launched just prior to this report—the space venture shows no signs of slowing down its quest to expand its global satellite internet constellation.
