This tutorial walks you through the entire process of setting up and starting a livestream on Kick using OBS Studio. Whether you're a beginner or have some streaming experience, these steps will help you get online quickly.
What You'll Need
- A Kick account
- OBS Studio installed on your computer
- Your stream key from Kick
Step 1: Get Your Kick Stream Key
- Log into your Kick account.
- Click on your profile icon and select "Creator Dashboard."
- Go to "Stream Key" under the Settings menu.
- Copy your unique stream key. Keep it private.
Step 2: Configure OBS
- Open OBS Studio.
- Go to Settings > Stream.
- Set "Service" to Custom....
- Paste your Kick stream key into the "Stream Key" field.
- Leave the server URL as default (rtmp://... provided by Kick).
Step 3: Set Up Your Scene and Sources
- In OBS, click the + button under "Scenes" to create a new scene.
