Stripe has unveiled Link, a digital wallet designed to let both humans and autonomous AI agents make payments. Announced at Stripe’s annual conference, Link enables users to connect payment methods—cards, bank accounts, crypto wallets, and buy now/pay later services—and store billing and shipping details for faster checkout.
The wallet also offers spending insights, subscription tracking, and the ability to update payment methods on file for recurring services. It provides 90-day purchase protection on eligible transactions from select merchants.
What sets Link apart is its support for AI agents. Users can authorize autonomous agents—like OpenClaw—to make purchases on their behalf, with secure approval flows. As interest in autonomous AI grows, Stripe’s move positions Link as a payment hub for the AI-driven economy.
Link is available on the web, iOS, and Android.
