Summer House Drama: Amanda Batula's Tense Confrontation with West Wilson Over Ciara Miller

Months before confirming their own romance, Summer House stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson had a heated exchange about his treatment of ex-girlfriend Ciara Miller during an episode that aired on April 21.

In the Bravo series' latest installment, West Wilson found himself on an apology tour after flirting with another woman in front of Ciara Miller, creating palpable tension between the former couple. During an emotional conversation, West told Ciara, "I apologize for being a s---ty friend. I don't feel good at all. I'm personally bummed because I feel like, on a friendship level, things were pretty okay. I hope I didn't f--k up whatever was built the rest of the summer."

Ciara, who had previously expressed reluctance about maintaining a friendship with her ex, responded bluntly: "This is why I didn't want to be friends to begin with."

West, who split from Ciara in 2023, admitted the awkwardness between them bothered him deeply. "You said you're okay with the awkwardness," he noted. "I'm not. It bugs me horribly."

Enter Amanda Batula, who—despite her own recent divorce announcement from Kyle Cooke in January—confronted West about his behavior toward Ciara. "What upset me the most was you've been such a good friend to me all summer long," Amanda told the sports reporter. "Like, it bothers you when you see Kyle disrespect me. For someone who's been so supportive of me and looking out for me and standing up for me, to watch you disrespect Ciara in that way, it just puts this weird dynamic in place."

West agreed with Amanda's assessment, calling himself "a f--king idiot" and expressing confusion about what his actions might have jeopardized with Ciara. "I understand why it's disrespectful and hurtful," he said, "but now I'm like, 'What did I just jeopardize? Was it friendship? Was it rekindling? Was it her just tolerating me for eight weeks in the summer?' I don't know."

Amanda offered West straightforward advice for repairing his relationship with Ciara: "Take accountability. Apologize and there's no 'ands,' 'ifs' or 'buts.'"

The following weekend, West followed through with Amanda's suggestion. Ciara, through tears, confessed to West: "I really did consider you my best friend. We had such a great friendship, I think that's the part that's so hurtful about it because I don't call people my best friend lightly."

The emotional reconciliation concluded with the two hugging and agreeing to be "best friends" again, though a preview for the next episode suggests more drama awaits the former couple.

This confrontation occurred months before Amanda and West confirmed their own romantic relationship earlier this year, adding another layer to the Summer House love triangle. The pair acknowledged the complexity of their situation in a joint statement in March, noting: "What's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care."
