West Wilson is addressing swirling speculation about his relationship with Summer House co-star Amanda Batula, firmly denying any overlap in their romantic timelines.
On his Show Me Something podcast, the 31-year-old clarified, "That’s one thing I would like to be very clear about: there was no overlap. I know there’s a thousand different theories on the internet right now, but that is one thing that for sure did not happen. Everyone was single."
Wilson emphasized that while Amanda Batula and her husband Kyle Cooke announced their separation in January, he and Batula didn’t realize their feelings were "maybe a little bit serious" until February. He noted, "A lot has happened in a very, very short amount of time."
"I just wish if people had s--t to talk, they could deliver it to me."
Wilson expressed regret that Batula has borne the brunt of online backlash, including hurtful messages labeling her a "homewrecking whore." He admitted to struggling with the fallout, saying he’s taking it day by day and trying to stay off his phone.
The situation has created tension within the Summer House cast. Wilson revealed that not all of his co-stars have responded to his text messages, acknowledging, "That's the hardest part I think with this whole situation is my actions have hurt people that I care about." He plans to address these issues face-to-face at the upcoming reunion.
Meanwhile, Ciara Miller—Wilson’s ex-girlfriend and Batula’s former close friend—broke her silence in a recent Glamour interview, describing the public nature of the drama as "a major mindf--k."
"To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It’s a major mindf--k."
Miller expressed particular hurt over Batula’s involvement, stating, "At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy. Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man. But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long."
She recalled supporting Batula through difficult times, including conflicts with Batula’s then-husband Kyle Cooke. "I’ve fought with your own husband to advocate for you," Miller said. "I have championed you. I have tried to be there in different ways for you and help you and get you to see your value in yourself. And so to be disregarded in such a disrespectful way is…. Honestly, it’s.... I’m at a loss for words sometimes."
The drama unfolds against the backdrop of Summer House’s currently airing tenth season, filmed last summer, which shows Wilson and Miller attempting to reconcile after their 2023 breakup. Fans will have to wait for the reunion to see how the cast addresses these real-time developments.
