Suspect in WHCD Shooting Targeted Trump Officials

A gunman who opened fire at the White House Correspondents' Dinner specifically targeted Trump administration officials, according to law enforcement sources. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen, purchased a shotgun from Turner's Outdoorsman in Torrance, California, and a semi-automatic pistol from CAP Tactical Firearms in Lawndale. He traveled cross-country by rail and stayed at the Washington Hilton prior to the attack. Allen faces two federal charges, with additional charges expected, and is scheduled for arraignment in federal court in Washington. Investigators are still working to determine his exact targets and motives.
