The black-and-white image shows the Euphoria star smiling as Braun embraces her from behind, accompanied by a simple white heart emoji. Braun reposted the snapshot to his own account, captioning it, "Lucky bastard."
Rumors of their relationship first surfaced in June 2025, but the couple had kept their connection largely private until now. This public step comes after Sweeney's previous seven-and-a-half-year engagement to Jonathan Davino ended in March 2025.
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Sweeney opened up about the challenges of navigating love in the spotlight. "I was in a relationship for a very long time, and I never talked about it," she revealed. "I was very private. No one would ever see us. I think it's important to have some things for myself."
The 28-year-old actress admitted that after her breakup, she felt unsure about how to approach dating. "After I had a few months of just crying my eyes out, I asked all my friends, 'How do I do this?'" she recalled. "I've never dated before. I've never even used a dating app."
Now, however, Sweeney seems to have found her footing—and her fairy-tale romance. She compared the feeling to a scene from The Princess Diaries, saying, "That's what love feels like. The lights will magically turn on. The birds will start flying. The fountains start shooting water. Love is a Disney movie."
Braun, 44, shares three children with his ex-wife, Yael Cohen. As Sweeney embraces this new chapter, she reflects on her journey: "For all of my 20s, I put my head down and focused on work—and now I want to experience things. But it's hard deciding that I want to experience love in the public eye. I'm just navigating it all."
