Terri Irwin, the 61-year-old conservationist and mother of Robert and Bindi Irwin, has addressed the possibility of competing on Dancing With the Stars. In an exclusive interview with E! News at the 3rd Annual Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas, Terri revealed she would need to "review the petition" and get back in "five to seven business days."
Although she hasn't committed, Terri expressed admiration for the athleticism of the professional dancers, calling the experience "the most athletic, incredible, moving experience you could have." Her son Robert, who won the most recent season with partner Witney Carson, promised to convince her: "I'll get her. Don't worry. We're gonna get her on the next season. I'm gonna make it happen!"
Robert suggested his mom should dance with pro Val Chmerkovskiy, a three-time Mirrorball champion, and Witney Carson agreed. "She's the last Irwin. We've got to get Terri on the show," Witney said, recalling how Terri eagerly added dance moves during a cameo in their contemporary routine. "She wanted to do a passé. She was adding a flick. I was like, 'Go Terri!'"
