As artificial intelligence improves coding capabilities, it also arms cybercriminals with powerful new tools. According to experts, the same AI that helps developers fix software flaws can be repurposed to exploit them. "Obviously, the better they become at helping us to fix those flaws, they also then can be used to exploit flaws, to exploit software vulnerabilities," one researcher noted.

Cyber attacks are already approaching full automation. "We've seen, for example, that there are now cases where cyber attacks have been automated to about 80%," said another expert. "So there are no fully automated cyber attacks yet, but 80% is already a pretty high number."

This finding underscores the growing risk: as AI-driven coding tools become more sophisticated, the line between security enhancement and threat creation blurs. Organizations must accelerate defensive measures to keep pace with the advancing capabilities of malicious actors.
