The Guest List Unveil Debut Album 'Something Real' and Stirring New Single 'You Should Care'

Manchester five-piece The Guest List have announced their debut album 'Something Real', set for release on August 28. Alongside the news, they've dropped the tender new single 'You Should Care' and revealed fresh tour dates.

The album arrives after a breakout 18 months for the band, during which they released their debut EP When The Lights Are Out, toured with Blossoms and Inhaler, and headlined a UK tour in early 2026. Describing the record, frontman Cai Alty explains: "The album is basically us saying, 'we're young, we're confused just like you – how did we get here?' It's about trying to find something meaningful in a world that often feels overwhelming."

The lead single 'You Should Care' opens with Alty crooning, "White space / There's a numbness like a wall between us / There's a truth you can't face / A hand you won't fold," backed by a steady, atmospheric guitar riff. The track builds into a heartfelt chorus: "You should care that I care / And when those strangers make you smile / Do I come near / Or do you lose me for a minute / And there's nothing left."
