This AI Bot Does Your Doomscrolling So You Don't Have To

A new startup called Noscroll aims to break the doomscrolling habit by deploying an AI bot that monitors social feeds, news sites, and online chatter on your behalf. The bot texts you only when something truly important happens.

"No feed. No brainrot. No rage-bait. Just signal," reads Noscroll's pitch.

Founder Nadav Hollander, former CTO of NFT marketplace OpenSea, built Noscroll after his own love-hate relationship with X (formerly Twitter). While taking time off, he found the platform both invaluable and toxic.

"It's phenomenally entertaining and really informative in ways you just don't get from normal media," Hollander said. "But it's so toxic culturally, and it's just very upsetting to read." He compared the experience to consuming fast food — satisfying in the moment but ultimately harmful.

Under the hood, the AI bot continuously scans your selected sources, filtering for relevance and significance. It aims to eliminate the endless scrolling and emotional drain, delivering only the highlights via text message.
