Even though the official Wi-Fi 8 specification is still a work in progress, TP-Link is already racing to bring the next generation of wireless networking to consumers. At the IFA 2026 trade show, the networking giant officially pulled the curtain back on its highly anticipated Wi-Fi 8 hardware lineup.
Leading the charge is the Archer 8 Ultra, a powerhouse tri-band router, alongside the Deco 8 Ultra mesh networking system. Both devices are built around the upcoming IEEE 802.11bn standard, promising a massive leap forward in home network performance, stability, and bandwidth.
Early adopters and tech enthusiasts eager to future-proof their home internet setups won't have to wait long to secure the new gear. TP-Link has confirmed that regional pre-orders for the Archer 8 Ultra will officially kick off on September 30th.
