The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently shared a laughable moment from years ago when his brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce revealed their first pregnancy—a gesture that completely flew over his head.
On the April 22 episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis recounted the awkward scene. "I'm over here opening a humidor, there's two boots and I'm like, 'Why the f--k are there, like, baby socks in here?'" he said, mimicking his confusion. "And then I look up at Kylie. I'm like, 'Thanks for the humidor, but what the f--k are these?'"
"I'm always, like, three days late on figuring out what the f--k just happened."
It seems this isn't an isolated incident. During the same podcast, when social media director Jake Chatzky announced he and his wife were expecting, Travis again didn't immediately grasp the news. He joked about his delayed reactions, proving that even with his engagement to Taylor Swift, baby announcements aren't his forte.
Despite these comical misunderstandings, Travis excels in his role as an uncle. Kylie Kelce, who shares four children with Jason, praised Travis's dedication to their daughters on her Not Gonna Lie podcast last June.
"The enthusiasm, when he comes, he just locks in," Kylie said. "He's gonna give them his undivided attention and they're gonna be like, 'Can you get on the floor?' And he will be like already down there."
Jason Kelce echoed this sentiment in a September interview, calling his brother "the perfect uncle." He noted, "My daughters, they're so drawn to him immediately—partly because he's gorgeous, but then also he's just a fun human being."
While Travis might need a playbook for pregnancy reveals, his bond with his nieces shows he's always ready to tackle uncle duties with full enthusiasm.
