Uganda: Man Sentenced to Death for Murdering Four Toddlers at Nursery School

A Ugandan court has sentenced Christopher Okello Onyum to death by hanging for the brutal stabbing deaths of four children at a nursery school. The victims, all aged between one and three years old, were killed during an attack at the school in July 2023. The judge described the crime as "the most heinous and barbaric" and said the sentence was necessary to deter others. Onyum, who pleaded not guilty, has the right to appeal.
