Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has vowed a decisive response after a Russian missile strike killed at least 24 people in Kyiv, marking one of the deadliest attacks on the capital since the war began.
According to Ukraine’s air force, Thursday’s assault involved scores of drones and missiles, making it the largest aerial barrage since Russia’s full-scale invasion started. The attack hit residential areas, leaving dozens injured and causing widespread destruction.
In his nightly address, Zelenskyy stated, "Every Russian murderer will face justice. We will respond decisively." He reiterated Ukraine's need for advanced air defense systems from Western allies to protect its cities.
The strike has drawn international condemnation, with the United Nations calling for an immediate end to attacks on civilian infrastructure. Russia has not commented on the incident.
