U.S. Navy Seizes Iranian Cargo Ship in Gulf, Iran Vows Retaliation

The United States has released video footage showing its forces seizing an Iranian-flagged cargo vessel in the Gulf. President Donald Trump announced the interception on his Truth Social platform, stating the action was part of an ongoing naval blockade.

According to Trump, the ship named Touska was seized by the U.S. Navy after it failed to respond to warnings to halt. The United States Central Command (Centcom) released two combined videos. One clip reportedly shows the Iranian vessel being warned before shots were fired, while the second depicts U.S. Marines departing their ship and boarding the Iranian cargo ship.

Iran has condemned the seizure, labeling it a violation of the ceasefire and an "act of armed piracy." Iranian officials stated they would retaliate soon in response to the incident.

The release of the video comes amid heightened tensions in the region, underscoring the ongoing strategic confrontations between the two nations.
