Authorities in Valenzuela City have confiscated counterfeit perfumes and cosmetic products valued at approximately P705 million in a major enforcement operation. The raid targeted two businesses—Nicewheel Rubber Corporation and Haiwan Import/Export Corporation—located on 90D Bonifacio Street in Barangay East Canumay.
According to the Philippine National Police, the operation was conducted late Friday evening, around 8:30 p.m., following intelligence reports about the distribution of fake goods. The seized items include a wide range of imitation luxury perfumes and cosmetic products that were being stored for potential sale in local and possibly international markets.
"This significant seizure underscores our ongoing commitment to protecting consumers from potentially harmful counterfeit products and upholding intellectual property rights," the PNP stated in a release.
The operation highlights continued efforts by Philippine authorities to crack down on the trade of counterfeit goods, which often bypass safety regulations and can pose health risks to unsuspecting buyers. Further investigations are underway to determine the supply chain and distribution networks involved.
