Vice President J.D. Vance faced a tense moment during a Turning Point USA event in Georgia on Tuesday when a protester interrupted his remarks on the Middle East crisis.
While discussing the ongoing conflict, a man in the audience began shouting accusations about Israel and Palestine. The heckler specifically yelled, "You're killing children... you're bombing children," directly challenging the Trump administration's policies in Gaza.
Vance responded by shifting blame to the previous administration, stating, "The situation in Gaza is a result of Joe Biden's failures. President Trump is now tasked with cleaning up that mess."
The Vice President then defended current efforts, claiming, "We are sending more humanitarian aid to Gaza right now than at any point in the last five years."
According to United Nations data cited during the exchange, at least 233 children have been killed in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since October 2023, with 25 of those fatalities occurring in 2026.
Vance concluded his response by saying, "I'm proud that this administration takes the Gaza situation seriously. We're focused on solving these problems, not just complaining about them like the individual who left here angry."
The protester departed the event following the exchange, leaving Vance to continue his address on foreign policy.
