The photographer who captured Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini getting cozy in Arizona was not a private investigator hired by a suspicious spouse, contrary to online rumors.
TMZ Sports has learned that a local couple on vacation at the Ambiente resort in Sedona on March 28 recognized Vrabel and snapped the photos. The husband, a sports fan, took the shots of the pair by the pool and hot tub.
After the images surfaced, both Vrabel and Russini denied any wrongdoing, claiming they were part of a larger group, though they never provided proof. Additional photos later emerged showing them kissing in 2020 and together at a casino in 2024, shortly after Vrabel was fired by the Titans.
In response, Vrabel announced he would miss the final day of the 2026 NFL Draft to seek counseling, admitting his actions fell short of expectations. Russini resigned from The Athletic earlier this month.
While the scandal has upended their lives, the source of the photos was simply a vacationing couple, not a hired PI.
