Wales and Republic of Ireland Secure Knockout Spots at World Cup of Darts

Jonny Clayton and Nick Kenny powered Wales into the second round of the World Cup of Darts with a dominant 4-1 victory over Thailand in Frankfurt on Friday. The Welsh duo, who replaced the injured Gerwyn Price after group qualifying, topped Group C with a perfect record, following up Thursday's 4-1 win against Lithuania.

Hosts Germany also advanced, beating New Zealand 4-2 thanks to Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko. They will face the Czech Republic in the next round.

Republic of Ireland's William O'Connor and Mickey Mansell secured top spot in Group D by defeating Gibraltar 4-2, setting up a clash with Poland.

The top-seeded nations—England, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, and Scotland—enter the competition in the second round. England's Luke Littler and Luke Humphries will play Spain, while defending champions Northern Ireland (Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney) take on Belgium. Scotland's Gary Anderson and Cameron Menzies face Norway, and the Netherlands' Michael van Gerwen and Gian van Veen meet Sweden. France rounds out the round two fixtures against Latvia.
