The Wheaton Public Library recently presented an art demonstration focused on abstract mixed media, led by artist Laura Lein-Svencner. The session, held in partnership with the DuPage Art League, explored the creative process of working in a series and using handmade papers for collage.
Lein-Svencner shared her collection of prepared papers and discussed her approach to design within a cohesive series. The demo highlighted how working sequentially with a medium can inspire growth and offer new creative challenges.
The event is part of the library's ongoing arts programming, which includes past demonstrations on pastel spring blooms and gelatin prints. The library continues to offer free, educational content for the community.
