It’s been nearly a year since Libby Vodicka and Andrew Wheeler found love on Netflix’s Age of Attraction, and while their relationship is still going strong, there’s one major step they have yet to take: Libby hasn't met Andrew's children.

During the season one reunion on April 1—hosted by Nick Viall and Natalie Joy on The Viall Files—the couple opened up about their long-distance dynamic and why they are being exceptionally cautious about blending their lives. Currently, the 23-year-old reality star resides on the West Coast, while 39-year-old Andrew lives in Baltimore with his two teenage daughters.

According to Andrew, the physical distance has kept their romance in an extended "honeymoon phase." Because they only see each other about once a month in places like Los Angeles or Florida, they haven't truly tested their connection in the mundane realities of daily life.

"Unless it's going to be my forever person, and I know that, I'm not introducing someone," the protective father explained. He noted that he wants them to move in together and be on a clear path to an engagement before he brings Libby into his daughters' lives, arguing it wouldn't be fair to the teens to introduce someone new if the relationship ultimately doesn't pan out.

However, Andrew clarified that his girls are fully aware of Libby's existence, joking that it would be bizarre to suddenly introduce a stranger as his fiancée down the road.

For her part, Libby is completely supportive of her boyfriend's careful approach. Rather than questioning his commitment, she respects his maturity and his desire to protect his tight-knit family unit.

"When there's kids in the picture, it's hard for me to talk about because I never want to overstep," Libby shared, acknowledging that his daughters never asked to be thrust into the public eye or talked about on television.

While Libby previously noted on the series that she envisions taking on a "big sister" role rather than acting as a traditional stepmother to the teens, she is already looking ahead to expanding their family. She revealed during the reunion that Andrew's dedication as a father initially made him more attractive to her, and the couple is fully aligned on eventually having children of their own.
