Assassin's Creed has evolved dramatically since 2007, and so have its arsenal. From Altair's simple sword to the kusarigama and naginata in Assassin's Creed Shadows, the series offers a wide range of lethal tools. In Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, pirate captain Edward Kenway wields dual swords, pistols, rope darts, and the iconic Hidden Blades. But the most fun and effective weapon? His boots.

Kicking enemies isn't new to the franchise. Assassin's Creed Odyssey introduced the Spartan Kick, and Shadows has the War Kick for Yasuke. However, Black Flag Resynced takes it to another level, especially during naval boarding actions. Why waste time with parries and slashes when you can simply boot enemies overboard?

Combat has always been hit-or-miss in Assassin's Creed, with stealth often being the highlight. But the chaotic skirmishes on damaged ships are some of the game's best moments. I ignore pistols and rope darts, focusing only on positioning foes near the edge and sending them into the sea with a swift kick. It's efficient, hilarious, and oddly merciful — after all, a swim in the Caribbean beats a blade to the throat. Maybe they'll swim to shore, reconsider their allegiance, and join my foot-first revolution.
