The hosts of the Real AI Use Cases podcast recently shared their honest take on AI hype, admitting that while tools like ChatGPT often overpromise, moving to Google Workspace and using Gemini has delivered real, practical benefits.
ChatGPT is always optimistic, one host said. "It'll say, 'Oh if you say this, or you put this hook in here, then you can expect this kind of reaction.' And if you do it in real life, it just doesn't seem to work out quite that way."
But their experience with Gemini has been different. After switching from Microsoft Outlook to Google Workspace, they started relying more on Gemini. The AI assistant seemed better at retaining context and learning from past interactions, including information from their emails. It also helped with practical tasks like assigning customer service responsibilities and drafting responses.
The host emphasized they weren't paid to say this, but the switch has been a positive change for their workflow.
