Wilson and Cabango Withdraw from Wales Friendlies; Uncapped Duo Called Up

Fulham winger Harry Wilson and Swansea City defender Ben Cabango have withdrawn from Wales' squad for the upcoming friendlies against Ghana and Romania. Manager Craig Bellamy has summoned uncapped duo Cameron Congreve and Ollie Bostock as replacements.

Wilson, 29, has been a key figure for Wales under Bellamy, netting 12 of his 17 international goals in the past three years. He is out of contract with Fulham this summer and has been linked with Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa, Everton, and Leeds United.

Cabango, 25, played 47 games for Swansea this season but was an unused substitute in Wales' World Cup play-off defeat to Bosnia-Herzegovina in March.

New call-ups include Congreve, a 22-year-old Swansea winger who spent the season on loan at Dundee, and Bostock, a 19-year-old West Bromwich Albion attacking midfielder with two Wales Under-21 caps.

Wales host Ghana at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, 2 June, then travel to face Romania in Bucharest on Saturday, 7 June. The squad also welcomes back captain Ben Davies (Tottenham) from a serious ankle injury and Connor Roberts (Burnley) after a year-long absence. Chris Mepham returns, but Jordan James, Rubin Colwill, Liam Cullen, and Mark Harris miss out due to minor injuries.
