Wispr Flow, an AI-powered voice-to-text startup, has officially launched in India with dedicated Hinglish language support and an Android app tailored for the local market. India is already the company's second-largest market.
"Voice-to-text in Hinglish could meaningfully lower the barrier to AI-assisted productivity for hundreds of millions of Indian users who are more comfortable speaking than typing in English."
However, the company has not independently benchmarked Hinglish transcription accuracy in noisy environments such as street traffic or crowded offices. Despite this caveat, the potential impact is significant: many users in India prefer speaking over typing, especially in a mix of Hindi and English.
The service is available for a 20-minute trial, encouraging users to test it in real-world conditions to find where it works best and where improvements are needed.
Wispr Flow's launch marks a step toward making AI tools accessible to a broader audience beyond developers and tech-savvy users.
