Rapper Xzibit has laid bare his turbulent financial situation in recent court filings, revealing a staggering $1.3 million tax debt despite earning a five-figure monthly income.
According to exclusive documents obtained from the proceedings, the State of California claims the artist owes over $400,000 in back taxes, while the Internal Revenue Service asserts an additional $900,000 debt to the federal government.
"I have been paying temporary spousal support, but given this financial situation and her other income, she shouldn't be able to collect any more after the divorce is final," Xzibit stated in the filings regarding his estranged wife, Krista Joiner.
The documents show Xzibit earns approximately $66,547 monthly, primarily from touring and promoting a new album—income sources he indicates are not expected to continue. By comparison, he estimates Krista earns about $12,843 per month.
Beyond the tax burden, the rapper disclosed over $1.4 million in personal debts and another $2 million in business liabilities. His average monthly expenses for bills total around $23,566, and he claims to have no significant assets.
Xzibit and Krista married in November 2014, separated in 2021, and share a child named Gatlyn, born in 2010. The rapper has been paying $5,145 monthly in child support under their joint custody arrangement. The couple is scheduled for trial in their divorce case later this month.
Among the few assets mentioned in the filings, Xzibit expressed hope to retain a 1957 Chevy Bel Air, while stating Krista could keep a 2015 Jeep Wrangler.
