YouTube TV now allows subscribers to create their own multiview layouts with any combination of live channels, giving users full control over which streams appear on screen simultaneously.
Announced by YouTube CEO Neal Mohan on Tuesday, the feature lets users mix and match up to four live streams in a single window. "You can now build the personalized viewing experience you've been asking for," Mohan stated.
Previously, YouTube TV's multiview was limited to preselected sports content, such as March Madness games. The new update expands the capability to any available channel, offering unprecedented flexibility for viewers who want to watch multiple programs at once.
The custom multiview option is rolling out to YouTube TV subscribers starting this week.
