Zayn Malik has canceled all upcoming US shows and reduced several UK concerts on his 'Konnakol' tour following a hospitalization for an undisclosed illness.
The former One Direction singer announced the cancellation of 21 shows, including the entire US leg, via an Instagram Story on Friday (May 1). "I've had to take another look at my schedule for the months ahead and have to reduce the number of shows on the Konnakol Tour," he wrote. "I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can."
Malik was hospitalized on April 17, the same day he released 'Konnakol,' and told fans he was "unexpectedly recovering." Posting a photo from his hospital bed, he thanked medical staff and fans for their support. In a follow-up message, he said, "I've been at home recovering and I'm doing well and will be better and stronger than ever before."
