Zendaya has signaled that HBO's acclaimed series Euphoria is nearing its conclusion. In a recent interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, the actress, who portrays Rue Bennett, acknowledged that the upcoming third season likely marks the end of the show's journey.

"I think so, yeah," Zendaya stated. "That closure is coming."

While HBO has not made an official announcement, the extended four-year gap between seasons two and three had already led many fans to anticipate a finale. Scheduling conflicts arose as the cast—including Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, and Alexa Demie—saw their Hollywood careers flourish, complicating production timelines. The Euphoria community also faced a profound loss with the tragic passing of Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, in 2023.

Reflecting on her role, Zendaya expressed deep gratitude for the transformative experience. "Euphoria, it cracked my heart open," she shared. "Rue taught me so much about empathy and about redemption. I owe so much to that show."

Season three, set to debut on April 12, will introduce a significant time jump, following the characters into their adult lives post-high school. Zendaya welcomed this narrative shift, noting, "It will be fascinating to see and understand these characters outside of the context of high school."

A new trailer released in late March hints at continued drama, with creator Sam Levinson confidently declaring, "I feel strongly this is our best season yet." As the series prepares to bow out, Zendaya's confirmation adds a poignant note to the anticipation surrounding its final episodes.
