Zephanie Reveals Her Alternate Career Paths: From Table Tennis Olympian to Cardiologist

Sparkle star Zephanie recently opened up about the career paths she might have pursued if she hadn't entered the entertainment industry, revealing aspirations that range from competitive sports to medicine.

In an interview with Kapuso Showbiz News, Zephanie admitted that acting wasn't initially on her radar. "If we're talking about the actress side, it really wasn't. It never crossed my mind before that I would act or that I wanted to be an actress because I was super shy," she shared. "My comfort zone has always been singing. Even though I'm shy, I can be on stage because I'm just singing. For me, acting is a whole different level."

Despite her initial hesitation, Zephanie eventually embraced acting opportunities and underwent workshops, gradually developing a passion for the craft. "I'm not just learning things about being an actress, but also as a person and as a singer," she reflected.

When asked what career she would have chosen outside showbiz, Zephanie revealed two distinct possibilities. "If I weren't a singer or actress or in the showbiz industry, I only thought of two things. It's either I'd be a doctor or in the Olympics or SEA Games. An athlete," she said.

Her athletic background includes table tennis, where she served as a varsity player during high school. "My sport was table tennis. That's what I did as varsity in high school. So I don't think it's super-duper big. But I would've pursued that path probably if I hadn't continued here," she added.

On the medical front, Zephanie expressed interest in becoming a cardiologist. "For me, the heart is just so special because everything just flows through there. Literally and figuratively," she explained.

Zephanie currently stars in "Born To Shine" on Afternoon Prime alongside Michael Sager and Olive May, balancing her singing career with her growing acting portfolio.
