Veteran shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will exercise his player option to stay with the Memphis Grizzlies for the upcoming NBA season, according to a report.
The decision keeps the two-time NBA champion in Memphis as the team looks to bounce back from an injury-riddled campaign. Caldwell-Pope, 31, averaged 9.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game last season while shooting 38.7% from three-point range.
Originally signed as a free agent, Caldwell-Pope brings valuable playoff experience and perimeter defense to a young Grizzlies core led by Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr.
The report did not specify the financial terms of the option year, but Caldwell-Pope's contract was set to pay him approximately $14.7 million for the 2025-26 season.
